Let's Bring the Party to Philadelphia

This is why I love what I do. NFL Football. FOX TV. Lambeau Field. Brett Favre. I can't wait to get to Sunday. I've had a chance this year to really focus on what is important to me. Outside of my family, this is all that matters. I've worked hard to get to this point?we, my teammates and coaches, have worked hard all offseason. It's time to get it going. A few of us have gotten to the Super Bowl before. We know what needs to be done to get there again. And we know that we have to win it ? now. I watched the game last night between the Colts and the Saints. Saw them hang the Super Bowl banner. Saw Peyton start the season like he finished last year. I want Philadelphia to host the NFL season opener next year. Can you imagine what that would be like? It would be crazy! The party would start in February and last all year long. Instead of John Mellencamp, I have a couple of ideas for the performers from this great city of entertainers. Jill Scott, Kindred, the Roots, etc. For that to happen we have to get off to a good start in Green Bay. I think we are all ready.

We are all ready D-Mac!!! As fans we couldn't be more proud to go into this season having the man that makes this team move. You are a true warrior and a savior for this franchise and I hope and pray almost nightly that we can bring one home this year. Us, the fans deserve but most of all you deserve it. Philly will rock GB. I've got my NFL sunday ticket.. I will be watching. I agree that the Superbowl has gotten a little weak with their performers...but I wouldn't care if I could actually GO and BE attending the Superbowl, just that alone must be pretty awesome.

Yeah enough already with the damn John Mellencamp "This is Our Country" song. Why can't the Ad Execs make a new commercial without using that song anymore? Another thing Donovan, if and when you do win the Bowl, maybe you'll get as many commercials as Peyton. He was on during the breaks everytime I looked up from my Beef Stroganoff Hambuger Helper!

What up D-Mac! Just wanted to say that I'm your biggest fan and my family and I have strong Syracuse roots (my brother, sister & father are all 'Cuse grads). I can proudly say that I was one of the very few people who prayed the Eagles would draft you back in '99 and was ecstatic when it became a reality. God bless you and the Eagles this season! Go for broke and leave it all out on the field!

You know the Roots will be there no doubt! Maybe you can shot out back to Chi-town and get Common & Kanye to make cameos.
Keep your 3rd eye focused on that February party, I reserved my spot awhile back but I can see it clearly. If you haven't already shared the idea with the rest of the team I encourage you to do so. Once everyone has the same dream written on the same page, the next thing you know it is the reality. The time is now. Can't wait to see this season kick off for the Eagles!

I know I can't wait til this Sunday and the rest of the games ahead. I will be at home watching the entire game. My daughter in front of the t.v. routing for you all GO EAGLES GO!!!!!! My son will be watching to learn some new techs for his game Weds. night. I know you can do this. This is our year, your year, the EAGLES year!!!!I was in a resturant today and someone told me Dallas would be the NFC EAST this year. Doubt That, but everyone has their own opinion. E-A-G-L-E-S!!!

mcnabb needs to make a decision back there and throw the ball sooner he needs to trust his receivers . today was my 39th birthday and all i wanted was an eagles win for it and i got well you know i got an indecisive qb and a defense that blitzed way too much. I trust you mcnabb. But we have a long way to go. You had curtis open alot and you just didnt find him. And i thought we had a player by the name of reggie brown. Is his new nickname the invisible man? Where is he at? And that interception was a really bad mistake. I know you wish you had that one back. But c'mon dont talk about winning the super bowl right now. I wanna hear you talk about beating the redskins!! And please stop the goofy smiles and dancing around in front of the camera. We are now 0-1, stay focused and determind. I saw you after JR Reed muffed that punt, knelling down on the sideline with that disapointed look on your face. But you know what i liked it. I want to see that passion in your eyes, i want you to approach every game likes its a playoff game. Cause honestlly the eagles are the only bright spot in my life. Me and my father used to watch every game. It was the one thing that brought us togather. But my dad isnt here with me any more and when i watch the game its almost like he is there with me. And the one thing we wanted to see was our eagles win it all. But now its just me, so please, you got all the money you could ever need, you have all peices, just remember its not just all about having fun for some of us. It was tough going to work Monday...and my phone rang off the hook after every penalty or stupid play..
but deep down I know we'll get this turned around, we always do . I pray that our play changes
next Monday becuase 0-2 would'nt be the end of the world but there would be some pissed off

It never ceases to amaze me how fans will start to base an entire season on ONE game. ONE GAME. EVERY year. *rollingeyes* I'm not just talking Eagles fans either. Yes, there were plenty of mistakes to be had in many areas Sunday. But there is plenty of time to CORRECT those mistakes. If this were happening in November or December, I admit, I'd be worried. So let's take a look at Sunday. There was a regrettable interception, but there were many passes that were right on the money and DROPPED! The Special teams were a NIGHTMARE none of us escaped, including teh team. All we heard all preseason (and especially after Trotter was released) was that the defense was in trouble. Hell, the defense put in some serious work Sunday!
EVERY team has a shot at the Superbowl. I mean what do some of you want? You want him to sit in front of the media and say,

It's the beginning of the season and at this point every team has a shot at the Superbowl. If the Eagles were playing at this level on all sides of the ball by November, THEN I'd say things were past the recovery point. It is WEEK ONE people. WEEK ONE. They know what needs fixing and will do what needs be done to get every facet of this team playing to it's optimum level. That is all.

McNabb, it looks like you partied a little too hard before this game.
I've always been a real fan of yours since we drafted you, but your play and leadership is confusing at times. I think you're too focused on making everyone happy- teammates, media, etc. I'm afraid you don't have that killer instinct anymore that you had in college. I do feel for you because of all the unfair criticism you've received throughout your pro carreer but you have to try and not to be so defensive. Some things are just better left unsaid. Its preseason and you're talking about the Superbowl? C'mon. The difference between you and Favre is staying healthy and a Superbowl ring not 'Interceptions'. Why would you say that? Brett does throw a lot of picks but try and be a little modest huh. I guess you don't remember the 3 picks you threw in the Superbowl. I think you need to change it up FIVE because all that criticism has made you become a little Numb and I think your teammates see you as more of a pushover. I really love your sense of humor but come Gameday you should be all about business. That is what you are paid so well to do, being a professional. Sorry about my dissappointment but I just felt you would be a lot further along in your game at this point in your career. I also know AR who I'm not found of has a hand in this as well though. I'm still and will always be a big fan of yours, McNabb. Good luck...

  McNabb is not a party guy first of all. Secondly, he didn't even have two seconds in the pocket before being swarmed by the Packers defense. Finally, the Superbowl IS the goal. If Donovan wasn't gunning for it, I think the REAL Eagles fans would be totally disappointed.

    The party remark was a joke. He played like he did, especially in the second half. Any good team should be gunning for the Superbowl, but you don't see thier QB going around saying we have a Superbowl team in the preaseason and then go out and lose the first game with an uninspriring performance. You're just asking for it with those kind of statements. I would have liked him to just keep his thoughts within the team and not the Media. I know Mcnabb still has the skills, he just has to want it bad enough...its on you.

The Defense played great, the Offense was anemic, and Special Teams were simply a disaster. Greg Lewis almost ran into Avant on one punt return and nearly lost the ball on another return when he foolishly tried to grab it with three Packer defenders right in front of him. Reid should have put Westbrook in after Lewis nearly collided with Avant. McNabb had a poor game. He didin't make quick decisions. Jon Runyan gave the Eagles offense a D for their performance against the Packers.

It is only week one and I am not giving up. I will watch a game until the very end. I believe anything can happen, especially since Mcnabb is the QB. I have been on the edge of my seat a couple of times and in the last 2 minutes of a game all can change. I know the eagles played great and special teams sucked. Maybe it will all change on Monday night. I doubt they left that game and got a pat on the back and I'm sure they have been practicing even harder to fix what they couldn't do on Sunday. I back my team up all the way. I live with a redskins fan and I can always find something positive to say about my team even on the worst game. Or I blame it on someone else Haha.. I say it now and I say it to the end. GO EAGLES YOUR THE BEST!!!! I was disappointed Sunday but not for long.. I did make a joke out of the EAGLES searching for punt returner though. I know they will do just fine. Mcnabb is one person who can make things happen. Westbrook is one reciever that will get the ball down the field. On defense dawkins will make sure he does his part. Lito who is one of my favorites, you all know if he can get the ball he's gone. So lets wait til the season has really started before we judge, until then we all should look at the facts. We are a great team and look at all of the times we have won the nfc east in the past 7 years. When it is our time we will go to the super bowl and we will fly like eagles. Keep your heads up.

This is the first time I've heard such nonsense from the mainstream media before. Looking forward to Donovan putting up big numbers this year so I can e-mail Reuban Frank after every game.

Donavan brought life to Philly when he got there. As far as I'm concerned, he is still the life of his team. Let's not forget the 4 NFC Championships/ 1 Superbowl appearance. Garcia nor Feely has done that for for this team or any other. We support you on your rehab DM. Get well and like all go getters say (lets get it).

Why has McNabb lost his identity? During the Reid and McNabb age we received the respect and recognition we wanted and deserved.Let's say Reid and NcNabb leave, what would life be like without them in Eagles territory? What was it like before they arrived? McNabb is a class act in every aspect; so let's reciprocate and give him the respect he is due. Just something to think about.

McNabb, I wonder why is it so hard for you to get the ball out in 3 or 4 seconds? As it was stated before, receievers wont be opened forever, the Offensive line wont be able to block forever and it shouldnt take 8 or 10 seconds for you to make a decision on where the ball should be delivered? I hate to compare but Aj feely, jason cambell. brett farve, garcia, payton and many more guys make their offensive line look good because they dont place the pressure on them to block for 10 seconds....someone will eventually penatrate the line. I wish Donavan could answer this question. Are you nervous?? what is it? I am a big fan of Donavan and I want him to do good so bad but when im watching the game and pray for him to do good, its a ball in the ground, a sack, an interception, etc. It just saddens me because every mistake makes 610 wip have so much to say.

Donovan, you are a great guy but I feel so sorry for you because just like Allen Iverson Philly does NOT like or appreciate black stars, just like the movie the great white hope AJ is not half as good as you are but for some reason the players and fans rally around him because he is White. I would miss you if you left town but I would be happy for you if you went someplace where all the people appreciated you , because the white people in philly are Very prejudice and they don't try to hide it, I don't know if anyone agrees with me but I just wanted to let you know how I feel .

your job, and have to only hear about your faults. NEVER does any one
remember or credit you for your acheivements.You have given me many,many,
memories of probably the best Eagles football in the past 20 years!

It is very apparent that the assault against Donovan from Day One was created and nurtured by none other than Angelo Cataldi and WIP radio. Now they are trying to justify there horrendous behavior at the 99 draft by hoping you forget that they wanted all-time loser Ricky Williams instead of D_Mac. They want Donovan to "get over it", but it is Cataldi, (who is the Program Director of WIP), who cannot get over his libelous, bileous, childish grudge against McNabb for becoming a superstar, showing how feeble Cataldi's (and his Dirty Mindless Thirty's) football drafting skills are!!! Since it is WIP , along with braindead Al Morganti, and the emasculating Rhea Hughes at the forefront of these venous attacks, it is now proper to call on A BOYCOTT OF THE WINGBOWL IN JANUARY!!!! Yes, Boycott Wingbowl if you want to save Donovan and show those mean-spirited WIP blowhards just how much they stand to lose by their hateful garbage!!!!!
