My Thoughts on a Couple of Friends

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim Johnson as he battles through another round of chemotherapy to deal with cancer. Jim is one of the toughest men I’ve come across and although he has a tough battle ahead, no one is going to fight harder.

I am happy that Michael Vick has served his time and will now be afforded the opportunity to move on with his life. I’m sure he will continue to be remorseful and will learn from his experiences. Hopefully he will have the opportunity to continue his dream of playing professional football.

And you can do a LOT of things in this world; cheat, shoot yourself in a crowded club, murder your ex-wife and her boyfriend then refuse to pay the court settlement against you, then continue to get in trouble for everything from road rage to kidnapping before something FINALLY catches up to you, but you CANNOT mess with animals man. They get more reverence and respect than humans. Vick will only play for a team that doesn't care what you think, (Raiders), has a owner that is basically the devil / Mr. Burns (again, Raiders, also Cowboys) or a team that would sell its soul to win a Super Bowl. (um...Raiders.)

    Damn man why in the hell won't people allow the man a second chance to turn his life around. He made a mistake and he paid dearly for it. Sometimes I think the value of the life of an animal is put in higher regard than another human life which is shameful. While I'm not an animal person, you never hear squat from PETA when a pit bull mauls a child - just silence, but when its the other way around, its heinous, a travesty, unforgiveable, etc. The most hypocritical people are the animal loving Christians, where is their ability to forgive and allow a man to find his salvation in his suffering? I hope Vick can find his way back from the public perdition he will have to endure. We have all fallen, not many are willing to endure the level of scorn and resistance he will have to endure to get back up. As for the correlation with Jim Johnson, they both have a life and death battle ahead of them. For one it is literal, for the other it is figurative.

Everyone are so quick to burn a person at the stake like they haven't made a mistake ever, most of you have been in the doghouse at one time or another in your life, and I'm sure even a few of you NOW have some skeletons in your closet as well. I am happy for Mr. Vick and I hope he knows that not many people get a second chance at doing something great in they're lives, so its all up to him now, let the man make a living and do what's right, forgive him...

  def no doubt i hope sean mcdermet( idk how to spell his name) can be as effective as Jim is, but def all the best wishs to Jim and his Family and friends and always to the Eagles.. as Wiz Khalifa says "Its gonna be a real big year". idk if anyone is familiar with him but he is a rising rap star. Listen to his new mixtape called Flight school if anyone wants to listen true rap music not lil wayne garbage. justt google Wiz Khailifa and Flight school and it should pop right up. Agree with all you said Donovan. Lets all keep Jim and his family in our prayers as he fights cancer. And Mike vick has payed for his crimes and i think he derserves another shot at the league. He is one of if not the most exciting players in the NFL to watch. I think he is sincere in his apology

Michael Vick is not remorseful. Hate to say it, the guy grew up in a different culture, where his antecedence is deeply rooted and persists. He'll always be living with a dark cloud in his subconscious. Amazing talent, honestly just grew up in an unfortunate situation.

For the sake of his entertainment value on the field I hope he plays though.

My wish's go out to Jim and hope that he will retain the strength to keep the fight going to survive and dominate his cancer like his defenses have dominated the NFL and captured our hearts. Get well soon. Football is a family and understand why Mcnabb made these comments about Jim and Vick. Everyone makes mistakes, it is how you learn from them, take the criticism, pay for your time and how you recover from it. good luck Vick and hope Jim wins cancer and helps us win a supper bowl next season. I expect Coach Johnson to bring the same determination and grit to his defense against cancer as he has brought over the past 11 years with the Birds. Good luck Coach. With regards to Vick....your sentiment for #7 is commendable but I don't believe he has the fiber to overcome. What is interesting is that he represents everything that you are not. You have all of the same excuses available but chose not to use them. While I am not convinced that you will ever take the Birds to the Promised Land, I do respect you for the way you have carried yourself, for the most part, over the past 10 years. Not everyone can pull off the Role Model burden as well as you have. Good luck #5.

My thoughts and prayers go out to JJ and his family. I have a friend that is battling cancer as we speak and my father is a survivor. I have no doubt that all three of them will keep pushing forward and beat cancer. Good luck to Mike Vick except when you play the Eagles.

all the best to Jim and his family. I went thru it in 1996 and it is hard. the chemo is rough. but Jim is tough and with all the fans and players praying for him he will pull through.
As for Vick.........I hope he has learned an important lesson. Animals are here to give us love and companionship......not to fight each other for our enjoyment.\

Vick is a scumbag , and so are all of you who so quick to forgive and forget. What this animal did is not forgivable in less than 2 years. Do you know he had a dog's teeth intentionally pulled , so that dog couldn't fight back as he trained his other dogs ? It's ok to pray that Vick gets on with his life , but it shouldn't involve football.....

Maybe betting on one dog fight is a mistake...Michael Vick ran a dog fighting circuit and killed innocent dogs. The man should not be allowed to be back in football. He has no remorse except for the fact he got caught because if he didn't get caught he'd still be doing it.

Hello, I am not sure how to contact Jim Johnson but I would like one of you to tell him that my prayers are with him and his family. I would like someone to mention to him that eating a lot virgin coconutoil everyday will help fight the tumors and cancer cells. I am not kidding, it will help out a lot, there have been lots of studies on the benefits of coconutoil that helps destroy cancer.. this is not a joke. please tell him or his family or someone that can get in contact with him.
