Time's Yours!

I hope that anybody that supports the Eagles can be able to move on from the Chicago game and get ready for the Washington Redskins. Not so much because we lost; I would say that even if we had won. However, losses seem to linger longer than wins do. That's no one's fault - it just happens. If we don't start to focus on Washington then we can be in some real trouble. The NFC East is talented from top to bottom. Don't get me wrong, I would never bet against us in anyone of the matchups. But I do recognize that Washington, Dallas and the New York Giants are also very good football teams. When we were winning the NFC East, we did so because we were able to beat those teams. We need to get back to that brand of football. I'm not asking to be forgiven for letting a win at Chicago slip away (or one at Dallas for that matter). As a team, we need to learn from our mistakes and not let that happen again. There was a stat last year that we played more games within 8 points than any other team in the NFL. Well, we need to start making sure we win those games. Playing close games is not important - winning them is! I am quick to move on to the next game win or lose. That's a mentality that is necessary for players and coaches. When the season is finished and I do look back - hopefully after hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy - I don't want to see another game that we let get away. Learn from it - yes. Worry about it - no. Let's focus on the Redskins.

DMAC. Something that sticks out to me this year is the mentality of this Eagles team. It just feels different than previous years. What you just said shows that mentality. Every Eagles player is sticking to the belief that they can beat anyone in any situation. Win or lose, just leave it out on the field, and prepare for the next opponent. This is a special team, and a special year. Keep rolling with the punches Dmac, and forget about the haters. In the end, you will prove why this team can win it all!

I was never one to dell on the past, and its the same thing here. The loss on sunday against the bears was hard to swallow... but not as hard to swallow as the dallas loss. Im ready to watch you guys pull a huge win over the skins this week... The Defense is doing its job... and then some. Offense needs to start capitalizing on the turnovers we've been producing. Keep your head up number 5... and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell desean jackson i tell him to keep his head up, too. He played an AMAZING game on sunday and made a few rookie mistakes... im not justifying it, but it is def. understandable. Let him know to keep playing like he is.. he's already a fan favorite and its only his 5th week in the NFL. GO BIRDS... fly high!!!

Sometimes things don't work out. Hey you and the other players played great although it seemed the offenses' approach changed so much without L.J, Shawn, and Brian and we lack consistency on 3rd down as a result. I'm still pissed about the 2 losses we have. I mean seriously, we should be undefeated but we're not so we have to look ahead to the Skins game. Offense needs to step up and defense has to keep playing as well as they have. So with that said, even though we're 2-2 right now, I still have faith in Five.

Donovan, tell Coach Andy to give the play calling back to Coach Marty for the rest of the season and you will get what you deserve......You guys looked SO DAMN GOOD when the offense was balanced with running and passing. Even with Westbrook out, the little running we saw from Tony and Correll was good, and if there was more of it it would have opened up options for bigger passing plays. We understand you were sore, so next time make AJ do the QB sneak.

Just make sure you and the Birds are firing on all cylinders when it matters most: in the fourth quarter of games and the games in late November and December...I believe this team is still gelling and has yet to hit its' stride. Win as a team, lose as a team. It was everyones fault. I dont want to see inferior teams beat Philly anymore, but things happen. Fact is that the last team to beat the Eagles, outright, was Dallas in November of 2007. Everything else was a Philly win or the Eagles just beating themselves.

When are we going to see the Hank Baskett fade pattern in the red zone? I thought this would be something that we would use in our arsenal this year? How about a designed quarterback/bootleg qb run near the goal line? (John Elway +Steve Young scored a billion times this way and also on the QB draw with 4 wide). You still have the wheels to get it done, so why not use them? How about utilizing the screen pass more near the goal line? We are the best screen team in the league and have the backs and blocking scheme built for it. Why not try the wr crossing patterns/"pick play" we used in the Superbowl? It's a great weapon when you have a ton of guys in a tight area. Just a few suggestion to ponder... :)

It was a tough loss to swallow because there were many opportunities to win the game. I was hoping that we could do to Chicago what they did to us last year. Besides, I haven't forgotten the 'Fog Bowl'. Anyhow, Washington is next. Let's take it out on them! I see you still got that confidence!

I know Andy may have been worried about your health based on the shot you took during the Steelers game. In the Cubs fans defense Chicago fans have a Superbowl championship, 6 NBA titles, and a White Sox World Series championship while the Philadelphia drought continues. Philadelphia fans have not seen a title since 1983 so stop comparing other cities to Philadelphia. For the Eagles sake I hope the Phillies win a World Series. If the Phillies win a World Series perhaps you and the team will receive less criticism.

I know it isn't your fault, but I'm finding it hard to keep watching these games. There's too much talent there and it's all being wasted by bad play-calling. I wish you'd stand up to the coaches after all this time, and tell them what's what. It isn't you, Donovan. When the play-calling is right, you're looking great. Please do something! I look forward to football season all year, and this is so frustrating! Thank god my school's football team (Penn State) is at least winning, since it's softening the blow a little. Keep your head up.

    Oh please...grow up. The Penn State players who were guilty were punished. And we won a lot of games while all those players were suspended. Players at other schools get in trouble ALL THE TIME. At least our coach punishes ours. Were you there? No. Do you know what really happened? No. You just sound bitter to me.

Does ONE TWO THREE and OUT ring any bells with your performance or lack of performance over the last 9+ years. Without Jim Johnson's defense over the years Andy and your offensive contributions would have been cause to run both of you out on a rail.

Hopefully the Eagles front office will make a realistic effort at trading for Boldin. With 2 first round picks a first and a third is not too much to give up for a pro bowl caliber receiver. The acquisition of Boldin would solidify a first rate receiving core for Mcnabb to finally have to throw to. The Eagles front office is well known for making unrealistic phantom efforts at acquiring free agents at skill positions and think the fans are uneducated enough to believe it.
