While star small forward LeBron James may not be the biggest fan of Cleveland Cavaliers head coach David Blatt, at least one of King James' teammates is.
Cavs guard J.R. Smith made it clear Thursday that he has his head coach's back, saying he would "run through a brick wall for Coach."
Smith credits Blatt with helping to revive his NBA career after he was traded by the New York Knicks to the Cavs this past January. Smith averaged 12.7 points per game last in 46 games for the Cavs last season, and assumed a starting role in their lineup almost immediately after Cleveland acquired him.
Smith resigned this past offseason with the Cavs, and is expected to be the team's the starting shooting guard once again. After all, if you're willing to run through a brick wall for your head coach, a spot in the starting lineup is the least you could ask for.
