Carl Froch names ‘clowns’ he would come out of retirement for: “I could be tempted back”
Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

Carl Froch has said he would come out of retirement for an exhibition bout.

‘The Cobra’ famously ended his career in 2014 when he laid out George Groves infront of a huge crowd at Wembley Stadium.

But in recent times he has hinted at a return to the ring.

Speaking to Luckyblock.com Froch said:

“I could be tempted back – but not for a proper fight, maybe an exhibition. I’ve got too much respect for professional boxing to jump in with a pro boxer and try and compete at a level that I know I’d need to be at.

“Unless there was someone I thought – he’s absolutely useless and he’s a world champ.

“I retired at nearly 37 for a reason and that reason was that the desire was gone. And physically it was getting harder and harder. So, if it was too hard for me to do nine years ago, I’m not stupid enough to think I could do it now.

“So, I wouldn’t fight now in a boxing professional capacity, but I would have a boxing play-fight with an exhibition with some clown like Jake Paul or KSI.”

Would you like to see Froch take on Paul or KSI?
