Carl Froch names the only heavyweight ‘brave enough’ to take on Zhilei Zhang

Carl Froch believes Zhilei Zhang is firmly in the ‘who needs him’ club after his stunning KO of Joe Joyce at the weekend but named one heavyweight that might fancy taking him on.

It was repeat as ‘Big Bang’ proved once again that Joe Joyce could be hurt. A huge right hook ending the bout and any world title ambitions ‘The Juggernaut’ has for now.

And Carl Froch assessed who Zhang could face next. Speaking on his popular YouTube channel, Froch On Fighting, the Cobra said:

“If it’s going to be 200 million (people watching) and it’s going to be over in China, I think Deontay Wilder is brave enough and good enough to take on that challenge and think he can win. He’s going to be confident he can knockout Zhang.”

“Usyk would fancy it but I don’t know if he’d entertain it. Fury maybe, maybe not, and I don’t think Eddie Hearn would risk Anthony Joshua against Zhilei Zhang. He deserves a shot at the WBO. At some stage, they’re going to have to fight him.”
