Fury Says Wilder Has A ‘Massive Fight’ Next

“I think he can come back, sure. I think he’s fighting again — I actually know he’s fighting again but I can’t drop who and what date. But it’s coming soon, a massive fight with Wilder involved,” Fury said

It is not clear who Wilder could face. He would need to rack up a few wins before he can get himself into a big boxing bout. But there is a chance that he is involved in a massive crossover fight. Francis Ngannou would be the leading name.

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion has already fought Fury, losing a split decision in a competitive fight. Ngannou is now set to face Anthony Joshua on March 8, with the winner facing Fury or Oleksandr Usyk for all the belts. But since Wilder and Ngannou were in talks over a boxing/MMA fight, there is potential for that to play out.

“I even thought about this idea. I said, ‘Alright, let’s make it a two-fight deal. Everybody always comes to boxing; let’s do this: you come to my s–t; I’ll come to yours.’ I’m a true warrior, that even makes it more exciting, and I’m serious about that, too. That’s something I thought about even since the first spark of the idea,” Wilder said

As for Fury’s plans, the Gypsy King outlined his future, which would see him walk away from the sport. He is currently undefeated and has won every single belt that is available at heavyweight. But unlike Usyk, who has become undisputed at cruiserweight, Fury has never achieved that.

He has the opportunity to do that when he faces the Ukrainian on May 18. He is currently on course for two fights with Usyk in Saudi Arabia. Provided that he comes through them, he has targeted a fight with Joshua later down the line. The Joshua fight has an element of intrigue, given that Fury’s former trainer, Ben Davidson, is now in AJ’s camp.

“Saudi Arabia is my home at the moment. I’ve got to do two fights here with Usyk, and then whoever wins out of them two (Parker vs Zhang) then I’ll do that fight here Saudi, and then maybe if it’s Joshua then we’ll do a rematch at Wembley. And that would be the cherry on top. That would be it. Finished,” Fury stated
