Three-star running back Maxwell Woods flipped his commitment to South Dakota State on Sunday. He previously committed to North Dakota State on June 28.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back is from Chanhassen, Minnesota. Woods is the No. 160 running back and No. 17 player in Minnesota, according to 247Sports.
Woods was named the AP Player of the Year after leading Chanhassen to the first state championship in school history. He finished the season with 1,844 rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns. He earned first-team All-State honors and was named Mr. Football for the state of Minnesota.
Over his career, Woods recorded 3,700 rushing yards, 40 rushing touchdowns, and seven receiving touchdowns. He also totaled 41 tackles, 12 pass breakups, six forced fumbles, and two tackles for loss on the defensive side of the ball.
