Deion Sanders continues to do good work in the college football transfer portal as he and Colorado earned the pledge of wide receiver Xavier Weaver.

The 6-foot-1 receiver announced that he committed to Colorado for the 2023 football season saying, "Let's do it."

One of the top college football transfers remaining

Weaver was considered one of the premier remaining players at any position in the 2023 transfer portal class, earning the No. 4 position on the College Football HQ rankings of the top players still available prior to his announcement.

Weaver finished his career at USF with 116 receptions for 1,735 yards and scored eight touchdowns receiving.

Weaver's yardage mark is the fourth-best all-time at USF while he was No. 6 in program history in total catches.

The receiver led the Bulls last season with 53 catches, 718 yards, and scoring six touchdowns, and was named second-team All-AAC.

Colorado's roster just got better

Weaver's addition to the Colorado offensive roster gives incoming quarterback Shedeur Sanders a reliable and productive target who can create separation from defensive backs, bring down contested catches, and earn yards after the catch.

Weaver originally entered the transfer portal on Dec. 30 and boasted offers from Oklahoma and West Virginia, among others.

By adding the wide receiver, Colorado moved definitively into the No. 1 position in the College Football HQ Transfer Portal Team Rankings for the class of 2023, moving ahead of Florida State.
