Myles Brennan has bulked up and is poised for his first season as LSU’s starting quarterback.

Brennan is set to be a redshirt junior this fall and will replace Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow as the quarterback for the defending national champs. When Brennan arrived on campus, he weighed 180 pounds. But LSU head coach Ed Orgeron says Brennan is now up to 218 pounds.

Brennan has been at LSU for three seasons and shared some time with Danny Etling in 2017. He then took a backseat as Burrow took over the program in 2018 and led the Tigers to the national championship last season.

For his LSU career, Brennan has gone 42-of-70 for 600 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Peter Parrish, Max Johnson and TJ Finley are among the other quarterbacks in the mix for LSU.
