TCU Quarterback Enters Transfer Portal

The TCU Horned Frogs did not have a great season to follow up their national championship appearance in 2022. They went 3-6 in the conference and 5-7 overall. A bounce-back season will be a little more difficult as quarterback Chandler Morris announced his intention to enter the transfer portal.

TCU QB Chandler Morris Enters Transfer Portal

Morris had a solid season for the Horned Frogs in 2023. In seven games, he threw for 1,532 yards and 12 touchdowns against five interceptions. He also rushed for about 250 yards and three scores. As with so many players in college football nowadays, Morris is most likely looking for a change of scenery or more NIL opportunities. For the Horned Frogs, it gives them an opportunity to see what they have in a younger quarterback or find another option in the portal.

2024 Outlook

The Big 12 goes under massive changes in 2024 leaving a void at the top. Texas and Oklahoma are no longer there and it will be interesting to see who steps up to fill the void. The Horned Frogs will have to play two newcomers to the conference his year in Arizona and Utah. It will be an interesting 2024 for everyone in the Big 12.

Can TCU improve after last season’s disappointment? They will need to fill out their roster and frankly play better than they did on the field in 2023.
