USC Football: Departing Trojans Pay Tribute After Holiday Bowl Win
USA TODAY Sports

Wednesday concluded the end of the USC Trojans 2023 season. Onward and upward for this program as they look to build the best team moving forward and better luck in a new year and new conference.

The Trojans finished the year strong with a Holiday Bowl victory, marking the final college game for some members, specifically for two USC defenders, safety Max Williams and edge rusher Solomon Byrd

After the game and celebration concluded, the two took to Twitter and said their goodbyes to the fans.

Both played a vital role on the defense, even though the defense wasn't the best (not even close).

Byrd played two years at USC and recorded 77 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, ten sacks, four fumble recoveries, and five forced fumbles in 27 games.

As for Williams, he spent all five seasons with cardinal red and gold. In those seasons, he recorded 133 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions returned for 71 yards, nine passes defended, and four forced fumbles.

These two will be dearly missed, but nonetheless, we wish these two the best at the pro level. Once a Trojan, always a Trojan.
