Lee Corso and Peyton Manning may not be the only superstars in attendance when Knoxville hosts Saturday's edition of the ESPN "College GameDay" program.
As shared by Tzvi Machlin of The Spun, some fans have taken to social media to suggest that Manning is bringing none other than country music legend Dolly Parton to the "College GameDay" set when the Tennessee Volunteers icon serves as the guest game-picker for Saturday's show that will precede the anticipated matchup between the Vols and Alabama Crimson Tide.
ESPN personality and "College GameDay" host Rece Davis teased a surprise from Manning on Friday.
"We’re fired up to have him," Davis said of Manning. "I think Peyton’s got a little something special planned for when he shows up too, that I don’t know the full details of, because it’s a closely guarded secret apparently, but he’s going to do something that I’ve been hinted to that Tennessee faithful will thoroughly enjoy."
Per the Tide 100.9 website, Tennessee students recently campaigned for Parton to be the guest picker for Saturday's "College GameDay" show.
"Her hometown of Sevierville, Tennessee, is about 20 miles away from Knoxville," that outlet added.
Former WYMT reporter Angela Sparkman Evans is among those who think Parton could sing the adored "Rocky Top" tune commonly heard at Neyland Stadium on fall Saturdays:
Either bring out @DollyParton to sing Rocky Top or bring out @joeykent and recreate the first play of the 1995 Bama game. No matter what, Go Vols! https://t.co/MrnYxEPNzZ

Manning may actually let some fans down if Parton doesn't emerge at some point before Saturday's show goes off the air.
