For most schools, Saturday marked the start of the college football season.
Such was the case for the Arizona Wildcats, who took on San Diego State to open their schedule.
While the Wildcats ultimately came away with a 38-20 victory to go 1-0 on the year, the performance wasn't without its hiccups.
Midway through the third quarter, with Arizona backed up in their own end, Kyle Ostendorp set up to punt before a catastrophe unfolded. Ostendorp stepped into his punt, but teammate Josh Donovan had lined up too close, and the football deflected off his forearm and onto the turf. San Diego State recovered the live ball for a touchdown.

In the end, the snafu didn't end up hurting the Wildcats.
Arizona took an early lead Saturday and never trailed. The Wildcats carried a two-score advantage, at 24-10, into the halftime break, en route to a 38-20 victory.
