20 of the best 2000s movie duos

Just a teenager on tour with a rock band trying to get an article done and a self-proclaimed band-aid who is there to help him get through it all. William and Penny Lane are the favorite duo of music fanatics everywhere.

Disney hit their highest marks in the ‘90s, so the 2000s were a bit rough. However, a few golden gems came from that post-Renaissance era, like the unlikely friendship between a spoiled royal who was turned into a llama and a simple family man.

Not every movie needs a sequel, and Superbad is wonderful on its own, but plenty of people would love to see how Seth and Evan are doing as adults now that they’d be well out of college. Would they still be the best of friends who could make it through anything, including McLovin, failed beer runs, and crushes?

Lindsay Lohan managed to star in two remakes that were so good, they often make people forget the originals. That includes Freaky Friday,  where she perfectly starred opposite Jamie Lee Curtis. Their mother-and-daughter drama was flawless.

One can’t talk about the 2000s without mentioning the trucker hat himself, Ashton Kutcher. In all seriousness, Kutcher and Seann William Scott played the absolute most endearing…idiots ever. Someone cast them in another movie together, stat!

Ratatouille is the first and only film to ever make people want a rat for a friend.
