Angelina Jolie reportedly 'will never forgive' Brad Pitt for gaining joint custody of their children

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's custody battle dating back to their 2016 divorce tentatively ended in Pitt winning joint custody of their six children last week, and Jolie is reportedly distraught.

An unnamed inside source told Us Weekly that the 45-year-old actress is "bitterly disappointed."

"She will never forgive him," the source added, also noting that Jolie plans to employ "everything she’s got" in an appeal: "She maintains it's far from over and still believes that justice will prevail."

Page Six provided additional insight into the proceedings when news broke that Judge John Ouderkirk had made a "tentative" ruling in favor of Pitt:

"Judge John Ouderkirk, the private judge hired by the former couple to oversee the case, made his thoughts clear in a lengthy recent ruling, we understand, after months of witness testimony, including child services professionals who interviewed the Jolie-Pitt children and others who have been around the family."

An unnamed source told Page Six that Jolie does not object to Pitt, 57, having joint custody: "There were other issues of concern, but the court proceedings are closed and sealed."

The Oscar-winning actors first met while filming 2005 action thriller Mr. & Mrs. Smith:

Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce from Pitt in 2005 after nearly five years of marriage and seven years together. Jolie and Pitt's relationship quickly took off from there—announcing Jolie's pregnancy with their first biological child (now-15-year-old Shiloh) in early 2006.

The exes also biologically share 12-year-old fraternal twins Knox and Vivienne as well as adopted children 19-year-old Maddox, 17-year-old Pax and 16-year-old Zahara.

Jolie and Pitt didn't get engaged until 2012, then waited until August 2014 to marry.

Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, with her attorney offering a statement to USA Today at the time: "This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time."
