Apple announces 'Mariah's Christmas: The Magic Continues' special with Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey told us it's time to get in the holiday spirit.

Now she's backing up her viral Instagram post with action.

Apple and Carey announced Tuesday that they're teaming up once again for an Apple TV Plus holiday special titled "Mariah's Christmas: The Magic Continues,: due to the streamer in December.

"Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues will bring multi-platinum, multi-Grammy Award-winning icon Carey together with Grammy-nominated worldwide artist Khalid and Grammy winning legend Kirk Franklin for the first and only performance of their new single, 'Fall in Love at Christmas,' on Apple TV Plus," according to Apple's official press release. "Following this magical moment, fans can watch Carey's star-studded, perennial smash-hit, Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special, which continues to bring holiday cheer around the world."

Carey confirmed the new special as well as the release date for "Fall in Love at Christmas" on Instagram.

The five-time Grammy winner has been synonymous with Christmas since she dropped "All I Want for Christmas Is You" 27 years ago, which became her 19th No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 2019 — an all-time most for solo artists and second-most all-time behind only The Beatles' 20.
