Emma Stone clears up whether she broke her shoulder at a Spice Girls concert

Emma Stone has been everywhere for the rollout of Cruella, and she has been delightful at every stop.

The 32-year-old actress relived her childhood crush on Leonardo DiCaprio with SiriusXM.

She perfectly recited Steve Martin's profane Planes, Trains and Automobiles monologue with Jimmy Kimmel Live.

And during her interview for Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Stone cleared up exactly how she broke her shoulder in June 2019:

"We were supposed to start filming Cruella, like, August—or maybe even July of 2019. And I broke my shoulder in two places. But for some reason, the story became that I broke my shoulder at the Spice Girls concert. That I was on somebody's shoulders and fell and broke my own shoulder, and that's just not—it's not true.

"I wasn't on anybody's shoulders! I had already broken my shoulder. I couldn't get on anyone else's. I was supposed to go to the Spice Girls concert in London, and I did go, but the night before, someone had a little house party nearby—and this was 2019, pre-COVID, so people could all be together and mingle. ... It was like a waxed floor in this house, and I slipped, and my arm went back behind me."

The Oscar winner also discussed her newfound Phoenix Suns fandom as well as Cruella, in which she plays the titular character:

Cruella is the origin story for the infamous Disney villainess, beginning with her days as a young girl named Estella in 1970s London. The live-action film was directed by Craig Gillespie and also stars Emma Thompson.

Cruella hit theaters last Friday (May 28) and simultaneously available to stream with Premier Access on Disney Plus.
