Something’s amiss in the Midwest and that could only mean one thing: a new installment of FX‘s Fargo is on the horizon. You betcha!

In anticipation of Year 5’s arrival, the network has unveiled the official trailer offering fans a closer look at the complex story at the center of Noah Hawley‘s anthology series. Plunging back into a life she thought she’d left behind, Dot is in the crosshairs of North Dakota Sheriff Roy Tillman (Jon Hamm) who has been searching for her for a long time. Described as a rancher, preacher, and constitutional lawman, Roy believes he is the law, and therefore above it. At his side is dutifully doltish son Gator (Joe Keery) who is eager to prove himself in the eyes of his larger-than-life dad.

In order to increase the odds in his attempt to find Dot, Roy enlists the help of a mysterious drifter known as Ole Munch (Sam Spruell). Meanwhile, Dot does her best to shield her family from her past, particularly from her loving husband Wayne (David Rysdahl) and his mom Lorraine (Jennifer Jason Leigh) who is the CEO of the largest Debt Collection Agency in the country.

Along with her lack of support, Lorraine isn’t shy to express her disapproval to Dot who is struggling under the attention of Minnesota Police Deputy Indira Olmstead (Richa Moorjani) and North Dakota Deputy Witt Farr (Lamorne Morris). Also part of the Fargo fun? Lorraine’s right-hand counsel and advisor, Danish Graves (Dave Foley).

As the trailer teases, above, Halloween looms raising the stakes for Dot’s story which includes elements of certain horror. Catch the exciting official trailer, above, and don’t miss Fargo‘s fifth installment when the show returns to FX later this November.
