Chicago’s concert-goers have slowly been learning the big names coming to town next summer and now have another show to add to the list. Green Day and Chicago’s own The Smashing Pumpkins will be playing a concert as part of “Th Saviors Tour” at Wrigley Field on Aug. 13, 2024. They will also be joined by openers Rancid and The Linda Lindas.

For Green Day, this tour will mark the 30th anniversary celebration of their album “Dookie” and the 20th anniversary of “American Idiot.”.

Green Day has been no stranger to Chicago. In 2022, they headlined Lollapalooza and played a small pop-up show at the Metro, which sits in the shadow of Wrigley Field. In 2021, the Hella Mega Tour featuring Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer also made a stop at Wrigley Field.

The Smashing Pumpkins will be playing a hometown show at Wrigley. The band originated in Chicago and lead singer Billy Corgin still lives in Highland Park.

Tickets for Green Day and The Smashing Pumpkins at Wrigley Field go on sale to the public at 10 AM CT on Nov. 10. If you need a presale code, Green Day will provide one for pre-ordering “Saviors” through their online store.
