Joe Exotic publishing tell-all memoir in November: 'I'm not holding back anything'

"I'm not holding back anything," Joe Exotic—real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage—told E! from jail. "I spend approximately three hours a day altogether, typing this book over email and sending it through."

The Oklahoman, who owned countless big cats on his private property, is serving a 22-year federal prison sentence for attempting a murder-for-hire arrangement to kill animal rights activist Carole Baskin, who founded Big Cat Rescue and opposed Joe Exotic—and all exotic animal owners—on Tiger King. He was charged on 19 federal counts in total, including falsifying wildlife records and violating the Endangered Species Act.

The series opened around Exotic's plot against Baskin, and it was soon apparent just how deep their hatred for each other ran:

From a tragic childhood riddled with abuse to his dangerous feuds with big cat rivals and beyond, nothing is off the table."

Baskin revealed to RadioTimes.com this week that she is working on a documentary series aimed to "expose the animal abusers ... and then put pressure on law enforcement." The 59-year-old was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars last fall.

Exotic is desperately seeking a pardon from President Joe Biden.
