If you know nothing about Lady Gaga, you probably at least know how seriously she takes her art.
"Donnie Darko" ranks high on that list.
For Variety's new cover story and "Actors on Actors" conversation, Gaga admitted to Jake Gyllenhaal's face just how much she loves "Donnie Darko."

"'Goodfellas' was a very important part of my life growing up because of my family and being an Italian-American," said the 12-time Grammy winner and one-time Oscar winner. "Scorsese is just the best ever. Also, 'Donnie Darko.' I'm not gonna lie. I don’t want to lie to you and tell you I haven’t seen it so many times. So many times."
"Really? OK," Gyllenhaal responded. "That just made my day."
Gaga continued: "In the world of music, but in fashion as well, 'Donnie Darko,' it’s religion. It really is. And if you know your s—t, you know 'Donnie Darko.'"

Gyllenhaal played the titular teenager in Richard Kelly's 2001 dark psychological thriller.
Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mary McDonnell, Holmes Osborne and Patrick Swayze also starred.
