Mark Hoppus reunites with Travis Barker for first performance since cancer diagnosis

Mark Hoppus and blink-182 bandmate Travis Barker reunited for a performance at Barker's House of Horrors concert event in Los Angeles last week, and it meant a little more than the countless shows they've played together over the years.

Hoppus, 49, publicly revealed he was battling cancer in late June and announced in September that he was in remission from B-cell lymphoma after chemotherapy. House of Horrors marked the blink-182 co-founder's first performance since then (h/t People).

"That's the best news all year," Barker, 45, said during an interview at the event in the below video. "That's my brother. Yeah, Mark doing this and us playing a few songs is just incredible. I've been with him through this whole process. He's just been so strong and resilient and tough. And I just told him, 'Elbows up and fight. It's time to fight.' And he did. Yeah, it's awesome."

The duo, with Kevin "Thrasher" Gruft, played "Family Reunion," "The Rock Show" and "What's My Age Again?" Hoppus was dressed as Batman.

Produced through NoCap, the lineup also included Avril Lavigne, Machine Gun Kelly and jxdn.
