Michelle Young dishes on Nayte Olukoya after 'The Bachelorette' finale

As always overly promised in Bachelor Nation, that was a very dramatic finale.

The 18th season of "The Bachelorette" drew to a close Tuesday night. Michelle Young had to choose between Brandon Jones and Nayte Olukoya. She had fallen in love with both of them, but ultimately, she had to break Brandon's heart.

Because her heart was with Nayte.

Michelle accepted Nayte's proposal, even though her mom, LaVonne, was very skeptical that he was ready for such a big commitment.

All's well that ends well, though, as LaVonne shared at the "After the Rose" special that she has also fallen in love with Nayte in the months since filming "The Bachelorette," and at least for now, Michelle and Nayte are riding off into the sunset.

"I fall more in love every day," Michelle told People. "I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family with a healthy marriage and I thought, I'm not going to give up until I have that. He's my person. And I didn't know I could love at this level."

"It was the best-case scenario, but it was also terrifying," Nayte added. "I had a conversation with Michelle, and I was like, 'I want you to know I'm scared.' But at the end of the day, I've never been so aligned with how I feel about somebody. When I closed my eyes and thought about the future, I saw her next to me. So I was very confident and comfortable to get down on one knee. And I'm so glad she said yes!"
