Arnold Schwarzenegger predicted this, in a way.
"I predict right now there will be another 100 candidates announcing before the election," the 73-year-old former Governor of California said while discussing Caitlyn Jenner's recent decision to run in the upcoming recall election during Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night.
Enter: Randy Quaid.
"I’m seriously considering running for governor," the 70-year-old actor tweeted Tuesday. "The prosecutorial corruption in California (esp Santa Barbara & the Bell scandal) is rampant; and I promise that if elected I will clean up the District Attorney Offices throughout the state. #RandyQuaid4CAGOV"
Jenner had announced Friday (April 23) she filed the necessary initial paperwork for a candidacy:

There's no telling how serious Quaid is. The recall effort against Governor Gavin Newsom was verified Monday, however, signaling a forthcoming recall election:
NEW: It’s official. With over 1.6 million verified signatures collected, the California Secretary of State announces the recall effort of Governor Newsom has qualified to go to go on the ballot later this year.

Schwarzenegger previously found his way into the governor's office during the 2003 recall election to remove Gov. Gray Davis. The actor and former bodybuilder served until 2011, when Edmund G. "Jerry" Brown took over (2011-19) until Newsom was elected.
