Snoop Dogg Throws Premiere Party for College Football Team Ahead of His 2024 Movie

Snoop Dogg is known for a few different reasons, including his music, and well… you know. But he is also a huge football fan and has even started his own football league called the “Snoop Youth Football League” which was created to give underprivileged inner-city youth a chance to play football and cheer.

To date the Snoop Youth Football has had over 60,000 kids participate in the program over the past 18 years.

One of these players who played for the league was current Arizona running back Rayshon Luke. Snoop Dogg has kept a relationship with Luke since he played in the league and even gave him the official invitation to the “All-American Bowl” following his senior season.

Snoop Dogg Throws Premiere Party

On Thursday, Snoop Dogg threw a private premiere party for his new movie “The Underdogs” and invited the entire Arizona Football team to participate.

Photos show the team picking up food from Raising Canes fast food chicken, a fast food restaurant that has done advertising campaigns with the rapper. In a second tweet, players are seen sitting in what appears to be the team film room, watching the premiere of Snoop Dogg’s film, which will debut on Amazon Prime on Friday.

Snoop Dogg and Coaching NFL Stars

This isn’t the first time that Snoop Dogg has been involved with college football. Snoop even coached the future NFL Offensive MVP CJ Stroud in his league. JuJu Smith-Schuster is another alumnus of the league. Other players include Ronnie Hillman, De’Anthony Thomas, and John Ross.

As time goes on, this list will only grow. The reputation of the league has grown from being an inner-city league that serves underprivileged youth, to a league that also has a reputation for being one of the best places to develop and become a successful player in college and the NFL.

Snoop Dogg and College Football

Snoop Dogg has spent plenty of time in the college football game. In November, Snoop sent the entire Colorado Football team athletic scarves, and Coach Prime a custom suit jacket with a meme of Coach Prime sewed on the inside. There have been rumors about Snoop potentially coaching with Coach Prime. (Imagine the headlines combining those two).

Back in 2004, Snoop Dogg was a regular visitor at USC games and would often mess around with players in the locker room. In 2022, Snoop was seen at the Jackson State Homecoming. His son Cordell Broadus played for UCLA, although he ultimately quit the team. Finally, Snoop Dogg was the spokesperson who invited and celebrated Arizona State switching their official sports brand to Adidas.

About Under Doggs

The film Under Dogg is a comedy movie where Snoop Dogg himself plays the main character, Jaycen Jennings, a former NFL player who goes to jail and later tries to redeem himself by coaching football. The film is based out of Long Beach, the hometown of Snoop Dogg, and is loosely based on the experiences and story of the actual ‘Snoop Youth Football League’, although the film is listed as a fictional comedy, suggesting that the story shouldn’t be taken as based of exact events.

The film is rated R and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime on Friday morning.
