Tom Hanks pays tribute to the late Peter Scolari: 'I'll miss him every day'

Tom Hanks costarred with Peter Scolari on Bosom Buddies for two seasons from 1980 to '82, as both men were just starting their prevalent careers in Hollywood, and their friendship endured until Scolari's passing on Oct. 22.

Scolari, 66, died after a two-year bout with cancer.

Hanks memorialized Scolari while reminiscing on their Bosom Buddies days with Jimmy Kimmel, admitting that he will "miss him every day" and felt they "were molecularly connected," beginning around the 10:40 mark:

Scolari went on to star in such successful television series as Newhart and Girls—the latter of which earned him a Primetime Emmy—and his most recent role was as Bishop Thomas Marx in Evil on CBS/Paramount Plus.
