Zoe Kravitz on Robert Pattinson as Batman: 'His transformation was out of this world'

Warner Bros. introduced Robert Pattinson as Batman by releasing The Batman's main trailer last month, but according to Variety, Zoë Kravitz has "seen a little" bit of the full film.

"Rob is perfect for this role," Kravitz, who plays Catwoman/Selina Kyle in The Batman, told the outlet. "He was incredible. His transformation was out of this world."

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman also boasts Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.

"Matt Reeves has a lot of heart, and he cares so much for these characters," Kravitz added to Variety. "I’m just very excited for him to be able to go on vacation because he deserves it. I hope the fans love it because we put a lot of work into this."

Pattinson was first linked to the titular role in May 2019, and in the same report, Variety's Justin Kroll explained how Reeves came to be The Batman's director: "Reeves, the filmmaker behind the last two Planet of the Apes sequels, assumed Batman directing duties from Ben Affleck in January 2017 and has been developing the elusive project ever since. Affleck and Warner Bros. began discussing the actor-director leaving the Caped Crusader behind following Justice League, allowing Reeves to pick his own Bruce Wayne."

Affleck officially retired as Batman in January 2019, though he is reprising the role in Andy Muschietti's The Flash next year along with Michael Keaton.

As for Pattinson, the former Twilight star reflected on the magnitude of becoming the next Batman in late September:
