BYU Football Welcomes Jay Hill

BYU announced this morning the addition of Jay Hill former Weber State Head Coach. He joins the Cougar staff as Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Kalani Sitake has worked with him before at Utah for nine years so they aren’t strangers and had some great years at Utah together.

Hill is coming in with 22 years of experience, the last nine at Weber State as Head Coach. From Lehi, Utah and coached Weber State for the last nine seasons.

“I’m very excited to be joining Kalani and the rest of the BYU staff, they have an outstanding program that wins on and off the field”.

This past season the Wildcats went 10-3 and went onto the second round of the FCS playoffs. On the defensive side they have been in the top 30 in the FCS.

He spent 13 years with Utah and played for Ricks Junior College as a Cornerback. He then played two years at Utah under Coach McBride. He then played in the XFL and then with the Bills and the Giants.

As the Head Coach of Weber State he had 68 wins, eight Straight winning Seasons, six FCS Playoff appearances, 4 Big Sky Championships, and four 10 win Seasons.
