Dana White has announced that Elon Musk will attend UFC Vegas 86 this Saturday, as the event will be closed off from the public.

The card takes place a day before the Super Bowl in which White has already managed to make his contribution. The CEO of the UFC will appear in a Bud Light Commercial alongside Post Malone and ex-NFL player Peyton Manning. Now Musk will make an appearance to watch Jack Hermansson headline against Joe Pyfer in a middleweight bout.

White On Musk

“It might have been Dallas we did a fight on Super Bowl weekend. To do it in our hometown, a no-brainer to have Slap Friday, UFC Saturday, and Sunday the Super Bowl is a no-brainer. The people that are in town that are going to these events are, I mean Elon Musk is coming to the fight on Saturday, you know what I mean?” White said

Musk was once on course to take on Mark Zuckerberg in a MMA bout, which White was intent on making. Musk stated he was willing to fight Zuckerberg after the news he was creating a rival to X through his Threads platform. Zuckerberg demand a location, as the Colosseum, Rome, became a possibility. Both sides blamed each other for the fight not happening.

“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious, and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead. If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously,” Zuckerberg said

“He accused me of not being serious, and I said, ‘Listen, at the end of the day, I’ll fight you any place, anywhere, under any rules. That’s what I said. He said name the place. I’m happy to fight him in a house, on a mouse, with a louse we’d like, go full Doctor Seuss here. I’m a way bigger than him. This is unfair. I don’t think he should fight me,” Musk stated

Musk Vs. Zuckerberg

But since Zuckerberg attended the Apex last year, Musk’s arrival could instigate talks with White behind the scenes. Musk’s appearance will also boost the UFC’s rating alongside a mega weekend of sports. Aside from the Super Bowl, the boxing bout between Teofimo Lopez vs. Jamaine Ortiz took place during Super Bowl week.

There is also the suggestion that White is looking to improve public perception of the UFC following their current anti-trust lawsuit and allegations that White has been blackballed by the media for his associations with Donald Trump. If White can secure a huge Musk vs. Zuckerberg bout, then that no doubt will break PPV records.
