Bangladesh T20 skipper Shakib Al Hasan reckoned that although they lost the ascendancy and the conditions were a wee bit slippery after a spell of rain, he wouldn't use the rain break as an excuse for their five-run defeat to India in a T20 World Cup match played in Adelaide.

Litton Das had slammed a 26-ball 59 when the match was stopped because of rain. When it resumed, Litton was run out for 60. After his dismissal, Bangladesh nosedived from 68 for 1 to 108 for 6. Even though Nurul Hasan and the lower order staged a valiant resistance, they couldn't cross the finishing line.
