Corbin Carroll’s debut season in the majors was nothing short of remarkable, leading the Diamondbacks to the World Series and positioning himself as a strong contender for the Rookie of the Year award, set to be announced on Monday.

While his season did conclude abruptly in Game 5 of the World Series, the Diamondbacks’ unexpected presence in the Fall Classic defied almost all preseason predictions.

Reflecting on the team’s journey a few weeks after their elimination, Carroll shared his sentiments on Instagram.

In a heartfelt post, he expressed, “It’s taken some time to be able to describe what this season means to me but when I look back on this year, I’ll remember these moments with an incredible group of men. I’ll gratefully remember the highs, the learning moments, and the growth this year provided our team and me personally. Lastly, I’ll remember the way the Valley rallied around our team, showing the special community that Phoenix is. Now go show our other Valley teams that same support and get ready for some more exciting Dbacks baseball in 2024!”

Carroll collected 161 hits, 30 doubles, 10 triples (1st in majors), 54 stolen bases, and 25 home runs during his rookie campaign (not including postseason).

In October, he continued his dominance at the plate with five multi-hit games, including a streak of three consecutive such performances at the start of the postseason.

With Corbin Carroll secured for another seven seasons, the Diamondbacks find themselves in an excellent position to be genuine playoff contenders for years to come.
