Corbin Carroll was unfazed with the rowdy atmosphere in Philadelphia

There’s no denying it, Phillies fans are a unique breed. Whether it’s their passionate heckling inside Citizens Bank Park or their fervor on the streets of Philadelphia, there are few lines this fanbase won’t cross.

For the players, the big question is: Can they handle it?

If you are Corbin Carroll, this was a walk in the park.

After the Diamondbacks secured their World Series ticket with a Game 7 win at Citizens Bank Park, Corbin Carroll shared his experience with Phillies fans over the past week.

Carroll humorously recounted, “I got heckled five times today. I walked a block,” per Jon Morosi at MLB Network.

But it was clear that these passionate fans didn’t faze him in the slightest.

At just 23 years old, Carroll delivered a historic Game 7 performance to help propel his team to a 4-2 win.

Going 3-4 at the plate, Carroll scored two of the Diamondbacks’ runs while also driving in the other two.

Moreover, the soon-to-be Rookie of the Year swiped two bags, becoming the first player in Game 7 history to record three hits and two stolen bases.

His three hits outshone the combined total of Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, and Kyle Schwarber between the final two games of the NLCS.
