Dave Dombrowski Continues To Dominate Anywhere In MLB
Rhona Wise-USA TODAY Sports

Dave Dombrowski has had a ton of success over his many years as a front office executive.

Dombrowski was at the helm of the Detroit Tigers front office when they went to the World Series in 2006 and again in 2012.

He also was the president of baseball operations when the Boston Red Sox won it all in 2018.

Four years later, he is the general manager of the National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies.

Dombrowski now has a chance to make some history.

This is the fourth different organization he has helped guide to the World Series, and if the Phillies win, he’ll be the first general manager to win a World Series with three different teams.

Dombrowski Looking To Make History

This would be some elite history made by Dombrowski if the Phillies win the World Series this year.

He was the architect of the Florida Marlins’ 1997 World Series team, and also took the Tigers to the Fall Classic twice.

Obviously, his most recent major accomplishment was with the Red Sox in 2018.

Now, the Phillies find themselves in the World Series thanks in large part to Dombrowski.

This past offseason, he managed to sign Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber to boost the Phillies lineup.

Both of those moves have clearly paid off.

The Phillies will certainly be heavy underdogs against the Houston Astros, but Dombrowski is one of the main reasons why they’ve come this far in the first place.

No general manager has ever won a World Series with three different organizations.

If Dombrowski and the Phillies can accomplish that, then the Hall-of-Fame certainly awaits Dombrowski when his career is over.
