Rob Schumacher/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Arizona Diamondbacks, now 0-6-1 in their last 7 games, suffered a 6-0 shutout loss to the Kansas City Royals.

Taking the mound for Arizona was Tommy Henry, who allowed 5 earned runs in 2.2 innings of work, bringing his spring training record to 0-3.

The Royals struck early as MJ Melendez connected for a triple, driving in two runs with two outs.

In the 2nd inning, the Royals added three more runs, fueled by a pair of hits, a double, and two walks before recording an out.

Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks managed only 4 hits, two of which came from Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

On a positive note, rookie Bryce Jarvis delivered 3.1 shutout innings out of the bullpen, stabilizing the Royals’ offense.

Up next for the Diamondbacks is a matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers tomorrow at 1:10 PM.
