We are just a week away from Opening Day 2024, and the Chicago White Sox are hoping to enter the new season in good health. Unfortunately, it looks like DH Eloy Jimenez will miss some time during the final week of Spring Training after fouling a ball off of his right foot. He is listed as day-to-day.

Jimenez has had a rather impressive spring thus far. The right-handed slugger has posted a .356/.383/.511 slash line with four doubles and one home run in 47 plate appearances over 16 games in Arizona. An encouraging start for the White Sox middle-of-the-order bat.

The injury at this time isn't expected to impact Jimenez's Opening Day availability. It could however potentially put an early end to his spring if it begins to linger. The White Sox only have just four games remaining in their Spring Training slate before returning to Chicago to open their season against the Detroit Tigers on March 28th.
