Home Run By Baltimore Orioles' Austin Hays Goes Viral For Getting Stuck in Foul Pole
USA TODAY Sports

A few weeks ago, we saw a double at Fenway Park get stuck in a light.

Now? We had a home run get stuck inside the foul pole in Oakland.

The viral moment was created by Baltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays, who homered off the A's Ken Waldichuk on Saturday.

Per Sonja Chen of MLB.com:

This Austin Hays home run didn't come down ... literally. (It got stuck in the foul pole.) The #Orioles ' first hit off Ken Waldichuk evens it up at 1-1 in the top of the fourth.

The Orioles beat the Athletics 7-2 courtesy of a five-run 10th inning that broke a 2-2 tie. After the win, Baltimore is 76-47 and owners of the best record in the American League. They are also tied with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the second-best record in all of baseball.

Hays went 1-for-4 with that home run and two runs scored. He's now hitting .280 this season with 12 home runs, 48 RBI and three stolen bases. He was named to his first All-Star team this past July.

The two teams play again on Sunday afternoon with first pitch slated for 4:07 p.m. ET.

Kyle Bradish (7-6, 3.18 ERA) pitches for Baltimore while the A's counter with lefty J.P. Sears (2-9, 4.27 ERA).

The A's enter play at 34-89 and owners of the worst record in all of baseball.

After this series, the Orioles will head home to Baltimore for a big series with playoff implications. They'll host the Toronto Blue Jays beginning on Tuesday night at Camden Yards.
