In the City of Cleveland, athletes are quite well loved.

Just ask Cleveland Guardians star and perennial MVP candidate Jose Ramirez.

On Saturday, the Cleveland Cavaliers were playing host to the Oklahoma City Thunder at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.

The Cavs came away with the victory, but the presence of a certain Guardians star may have helped them.

During the game, the jumbotron caught a glimpse of Ramirez sitting among the crowd.

A few highlights were shown before cameras panned to Ramirez, but when Ramirez came onto the screen, the Cleveland crowd gave him a nice warm hand, honoring their Guardians superstar.

Ramirez certainly seemed to enjoy the moment.

As cameras focused in on him, the Guardians star hyped up the crowd as he donned some cool shades.

In Cleveland, fans love their stars.

The Guardians season may have come to an end, but that doesn’t mean that the love isn’t still present.

Ramirez gave a nod of approval at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, sending the fans into a frenzy as they honored the Guardians slugger.

The 30-year-old led the way for the Guardians this season, hitting for a .280 average and crushing 29 home runs as he guided Cleveland to a 92-win season, which ultimately earned them their first AL Central title since 2018.

The team fell short in the ALDS, but that didn’t take away from all the excitement of the 2022 season.

Fans in Cleveland still love their stars, and that love was on full display with Ramirez in the house on Saturday.
