Saturday represented a rare positive moment for the Kansas City Royals. They Royals, the team with the second-worst winning percentage in baseball, came back from six runs down to stun the Los Angeles Angels at Kaufman Stadium.
Sure, Angels star Shohei Ohtani made more baseball history, but Royals rookie Samad Taylor made some team history as well.

Samad Taylor is the 2nd Royal to hit a walk-off in his debut. The other was Kevin Seitzer in 1986.
Before today, the Royals had lost 178 straight games when trailing by 6+ runs in the 7th inning or later.

The 24-year-old was drafted by the Guardians in the 2016 draft out of the California high school ranks and acquired by the Royals in the trade that sent Whit Merrifield to the Toronto Blue Jays.
Toronto had acquired him in 2017 in a trade with Cleveland.
With the win, the Royals are now 19-51 on the season. They are in last place in the American League Central by 16.5 games.
The Angels fell to 40-33 with the loss. They are tied for second in the American League West and trail the first-place Rangers by 4.5 games.
The two teams play each other on Sunday at 2:10 p.m. ET.
