Ketel Marte is the 2023 National League Championship Series MVP

While it could have certainly gone to a handful of players on a Diamondbacks roster that shocked the world, Ketel Marte is the 2023 National League Championship MVP.

But, make no mistake, it was well deserved.

With a double in the 7th inning of Game 7, Marte broke a new record with a 16-game hitting streak to start his postseason career.

Marte’s performance in the NLCS was nothing short of remarkable, going 12-26 at the plate, a significant factor in the Diamondbacks’ series win over the Phillies.

Even when the rest of the offense was struggling, Ketel was there to pick his team up all series long.

Marte is one of the rare veterans on the D-backs roster; he has not been with the team for the past seven seasons.

Whether it be a 110-loss season or now a trip to the World Series, he has truly been through it all over the last couple of years with Arizona.

Tonight, it all came full circle for the 30-year-old.
