MLB best bets, 3 strikeout props for Friday 6/30: These unders are far from over

Now that's more like it. After a brutal start to the week in strikeout props, we rebounded nicely with a 2-1 mark Wednesday and a 3-0 sweep Thursday. Let's finish the week strong with my three favorite strikeout props for Friday's MLB slate.

Cristopher Sanchez under 4.5 Ks (-150 FanDuel)

The Philadelphia Phillies have struggled to find a consistent fifth starter all season. Cristopher Sanchez has filled that void recently and has pitched well in two starts this month, but he doesn't have the ability to go deep in games. In three starts this season, Sanchez is averaging just 13 outs and 69 pitches per game. The Washington Nationals have the fewest strikeouts in MLB this season, so they're going to make Sanchez work in his four or five innings on the mound.

Jon Gray under 5.5 Ks (+100 DraftKings)

I've had success fading pitchers going up against the Houston Astros recently, so why stop now? The Astros are averaging just 6.5 strikeouts per game over the last two weeks, which is the best mark in MLB during that span. Meanwhile, Jon Gray has cleared this number only five times in 14 starts this season, and he's done so once in his last four appearances. This shouldn't be even money.

Bryce Miller under 5.5 Ks (-140 DK)

Bryce Miller has been great for the Seattle Mariners in his rookie season, but he hasn't exactly been a strikeout expert. The 24-year-old is averaging 7.9 strikeouts per nine innings this year, and he's gone over this number only four times in 10 starts. Now he has to face a Tampa Bay Rays lineup that's recorded the fewest strikeouts per game (6.5) in MLB over the last week. Give me the under.
