MLB HR props for Friday 8/11: The Polar Bear is blazing hot

What better way to send us into the weekend than to cash a juicy price on a home run prop? Let's attempt to do just that with my three favorite players to hit a dinger on Friday's MLB slate.

William Contreras (+400 FanDuel)

Michael Kopech has struggled to keep the ball in the yard all season. The Chicago White Sox starter has surrendered 24 home runs in his 21 starts, including nine in his last seven games. William Contreras is the hottest hitter in the Milwaukee Brewers lineup with his18 hits and two home runs over his last 57 at-bats, plus the wind will be blowing out at Guaranteed Rate Field Friday night, creating a projected 30 percent boost to home runs (Ballpark Pal).

Pete Alonso (+390 DraftKings)

Pete Alonso is on a ridiculous power surge that's seen him hit four home runs in his last 17 at-bats. The Polar Bear went yard in every game of the New York Mets' three-game series against the Chicago Cubs, and now he gets to face a familiar foe in Atlanta Braves starter Charlie Morton. This price should be closer to +300 considering how well Alonso is driving the ball right now, so I'll bite on the +390.

Ryan McMahon (+500 DK)

Los Angeles Dodgers starter Lance Lynn has been an auto-fade every time he's taken the mound this year. The right-hander has given up 32 home runs in his 23 starts this season, which is the highest mark in MLB by six homers. We'll roll with Ryan McMahon, whose price is so high because he has just one hit in his last 20 at-bats. McMahon has hit 16 of his team-high 19 homers off right-handed pitching, and this is a great matchup for him to reach 20 on the year.
