The Washington Nationals have Yan Gomes and Alex Avila on their roster already, but the team is reportedly looking to add a veteran catcher, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
Jonathan Lucroy could be an option for the Nationals, Heyman says.
Nats may have some interest in adding a veteran catcher. Jonathan Lucroy had .478 on base percentage in spring with White Sox and is among the options.

Lucroy was granted his release from the Chicago White Sox after he didn't make the club's major-league roster. Although he was released, the 34-year-old had a solid spring training, slashing .333/.478/.389 in 14 games.
It's unclear if the Nationals have expressed interest in Lucroy at this point, but he is an option as he's still available.
