Authorities in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday raided two homes in search of Wander Franco, according to a report.

Listin Diario, a media outlet in the Dominican Republic, reported the news Tuesday about the raids that were carried out.

According to the outlet’s report, the authorities from the Santo Domingo Prosecutor’s Office for Children and Adolescents went to homes in Palo Blanco and Villa Real in search of Franco but did not find the ballplayer.

Franco is facing two investigations in the Dominican Republic that he had an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

Franco last played in MLB on Aug. 12. He was placed on paid administrative leave once it was made public.

The 22-year-old shortstop from Bani in the D.R. made his MLB debut with Tampa Bay in 2021 and had made his first All-Star team earlier this offseason.

In his brief MLB career, Franco has batted .282 with a .795 OPS, 30 home runs and 40 stolen bases. That has been achieved over the course of 265 games in three seasons.
