Trade Package for Kiké Hernández Officially Revealed
USA TODAY Sports

Dodgers baseball just got a whole lot more interesting as LA has added Boston Red Sox utility man, Kiké Hernandez, bringing him back to LA.

But who exactly did the Dodgers give up for Kiké?

MLB insider, Jeff Passan, revealed that the Dodgers have traded away right-handed relievers Nick Robertson and Justin Hagenman to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Kiké.

Robertson, who has thrown only 10.1 innings in the Majors this season, is seen as an upper-level minor league player.

Hagenman is also considered as above average as he has been playing well with the Dodgers Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City.

Hagenman was probably the deciding factor in the package as he currently holds a 4-0 win-loss record that includes 60 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.07.

These stats come from Hagenman's 25 appearances in the minors this year, accumulating a 2.78 ERA in 55 innings pitched.

The Dodgers were linked to tons of different players a week until the deadline, but their first move comes in bringing an old friend back to Los Angeles.

Kiké returns to the Dodgers hitting .222 with an OPS of .599. He has just six home runs and 31 RBIs on the year, and has struggled against left-handed pitching.

In need of infield and outfield depth, the Dodgers went with who they knew best in the trade block and went after Hernandez.

This will hopefully be a reunion worth celebrating, and with a few days left until the Trade Deadline, there could be more reinforcements coming to Los Angeles.
