Watch: Emmy-winning actor praises MLB rule changes, calls game 'even better'

Walter White loves the rule changes coming to MLB.

Bryan Cranston — the Emmy Award-winning actor perhaps most famous for his role as the aforementioned protagonist in "Breaking Bad" — seems to be among the many baseball fans eager for next week's Opening Day. Cranston is a Los Angeles native, big supporter of the Dodgers and played in last year's Celebrity Softball Game in L.A.

Obviously, MLB wouldn't have used a big-name actor for its promotional hype video who was against the host of changes coming to the sport, but Cranston's praise is still noteworthy.

The former "Malcolm in the Middle" star makes specific reference to the game's pace of play, which has been a primary focus with the changes from commissioner Rob Manfred and company. Cranston also apparently is a fan of the infield shift ban, as evidenced by his colorful "get that shift outta here" quip.

Despite a potentially loaded Senior Circuit that includes contenders in (among others) the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies and NL West-rival San Diego Padres, Cranston's Dodgers are still expected to be among the best teams in baseball this year.

Los Angeles' season-opener is at 10:10 p.m. ET next Thursday at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
