Watch: Ketel Marte walks off Phillies in Game 3

The Phillies made some great defensive plays with the infield in Game 3. Ketel Marte hit it over all those infielders for a game-winner.

Marte hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth to get the Arizona Diamondbacks back into their National League Championship Series against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Diamondbacks won 2-1, as Marte delivered the third postseason walk-off hit in franchise history for Arizona.

The Diamondbacks got runners on second and third after closer Craig Kimbrel walked Lourdes Gurriel. Gurriel stole second, then Pavin Smith got an infield hit and stole second himself. But Trea Turner nailed Gurriel on a wacky play at the plate where catcher J.P. Realmuto had to chase Gurriel to the other side of the plate to tag him.

But Geraldo Perdomo fought back from a 1-2 count to load the bases, and Marte followed with his big hit. It was Marte's third hit of the game and sixth hit of the NLCS. He's hit safely in every game of the playoffs, where he's hitting .371 and slugging .600.

Marte joins Diamondbacks postseason heroes Tony Womack, who had a game-winning hit in the 2001 National League Division Series, and Luis Gonzalez, who had one of only nine World Series-winning walk-offs with his single off Mariano Rivera in 2001.

The Diamondbacks are back in the series, which continues Friday and Saturday in Arizona.
