Watch: Trea Turner sent hype video narrated by Jon Hamm to teams ahead of free agency

Trea Turner doesn't need any help in creating a buzz for free agency, but he still got some in the form of a hype video narrated by actor Jon Hamm.

Turner's agency sent the video to MLB teams ahead of the start of MLB free agency this week, highlighting his credentials and making the case for teams to bring him on board this offseason.

Have a look.

Hamm, known for his acting roles in "Mad Men" and several major movies, is not only a huge baseball fan, but is also represented by the same agency (CAA) that represents Turner.

Hamm said he was happy to take part in the video, via Sports Illustrated:

“I have some friends … who represent Trea,” Hamm explains. “They had asked me to help with this thing, and I said, ‘Why not? Sure.’ I like Trea Turner; I’m happy for his success. … I hope he won’t be a Dodger anymore, and maybe he’ll be a Cardinal. Who knows?”

Turner is going to be one of the most sought after free agents on the market this offseason.

The 29-year-old infielder is coming off of another monster season that saw him hit .298 with 21 home runs, 100 RBI and an .809 OPS.

That sort of offensive production from a middle infield position is one of the most valuable commodities in baseball and should bring him a massive payday this winter.

This year's crop of free agent shortstops is loaded with Turner, Carlos Correa, Xander Bogaerts and Dansby Swanson all hitting the open market. MLB.com lists the Phillies, Giants, Orioles, Giants, Yankees, Braves and Dodgers as potential landing spots for Turner.
