When MLB announced a streaming rights agreement earlier this year, the Los Angeles Dodgers were among the teams selected for a national broadcast. That now is taking place Sunday, for a 9:05 a.m. PT start against the Miami Marlins in the third game of their wraparound series at loanDepot Park.

The Dodgers’ Peacock game is being called by play-by-play man Jason Benetti, who was hired away from ESPN by Fox Sports in July. Prior to that, Benetti was tabbed as the voice of “MLB Sunday Leadoff,” an NBC-produced package of 18 games that were scheduled to stream on Peacock this season.

Benetti is fresh off calling the marquee college football matchup between Nebraska and Northwestern, which was played in Dublin, Ireland. Bennetti and Brock Huard called the game from a remote booth stateside.

For the Peacock stream of the Dodgers and Marlins, Benetti is being joined by analysts Dontrelle Willis and Tommy Hutton.

Willis was a National League Rookie of the Year winner and spent the bulk of his career with the Marlins. Included in that was winning a World Series with the club in 2003.

While Willis reached the top of the sport playing for the Marlins, he was among the new Dodgers broadcasters hired for the 2022 season. Willis has joined Joe Davis in the booth and also worked in the SportsNet LA studios throughout the year.

Hutton, a Los Angeles native, made his MLB debut with the Dodgers 1966 but only appeared in three games. He was up with the team again in 1969 for 16 games before moving on to establish himself at the Major League level with the Philadelphia Phillies.
