Allen Iverson: 'As much as I love Michael Jordan, LeBron James is the one'

Did Allen Iverson just pick LeBron James over Michael Jordan in the greatest of all time debate? It appears that way.

The Hall of Famer could've possibly dubbed James as the G.O.A.T, but it's unclear what he meant when he called the Los Angeles Lakers star "the one."

"I love what's the best, man. You dig what I'm saying? ... I'm not going to fight what's the best. I'm not going to fight. As much as I love Michael Jordan, like, dawg, man, LeBron James is the one, dawg." Iverson said on Fat Joe's podcast, according to TMZ Sports. "He the one, man."

He also claimed on the podcast that Kevin Durant is "the one," so he probably was just stating that Jordan, James and Durant are among the NBA's best, not insinuating that James is the G.O.A.T.

Iverson, an 11-time All-Star, knows a little thing or two about being great. He's a four-time scoring champion and averaged 26.7 points per game in his 14-year NBA career.

James and Durant aren't necessarily comparable, though many compare James with Jordan when discussing who the G.O.A.T. is.

Maybe people will begin making their selections once James' career is over, which probably won't be for a while.
